Apr 03, 2017 · Here is my network browser (notice windscribe vpn displays "unidentified network") I can connect to my laptop's wifi hotspot that I created, but it will show "no internet connection". This is displayed both on my phone and xbox when I try to connect. I have a feeling the issue is because of the vpn network showing "unidentified network". Jul 12, 2011 · Okay, so the problem has changed a bit, for the better. I now have no issue connecting using ethernet. It can identify the network through ethernet and I have internet access that way. With the wireless, however, while it can now identify the network, my wireless connection is still Local Only. Click on the Wireless Networks tab and click on the name of the network in the list of Preferred networks . Now you want to click Remove so that Windows will erase any of the current settings for that network and will start from scratch. With the PC, the network comes up in the list, I click on it and then put in the network password, but even though it says I am connected to the network with an excellent signal I cannot go online. When I put my mouse on the wireless icon it says: Unidentified Network (my network name) Access Local Only.
